2023-24 accounts dissected and potential January budget [Bonus Article]
AC Milan’s accounts for the 2023-24 financial year have officially been approved at the annual shareholders’ meeting. We discussed the financial situation in another bonus not too long ago, but now that we have the confirmed figures, we thought it would be best to take a closer look. What was behind the profit? And above all, what does it say about the current year and the January window?
Milan have made great strides off the pitch in recent years, above all commercially, and this has resulted in two consecutive profits. A lot of money has been reinvested in new signings, with just over €130m spent in the summer of 2023 and €78m last summer, but the goal is also to keep the Rossoneri in the green. Rather than operating on a deficit, Gerry Cardinale wants to work on a cash-flow basis.
However, we understand that this is the last thing that some Milan fans want to think about at the moment. The situation is not ideal in the standings and questions can be asked about the management’s work. With that in mind, we have made the article a bit ‘more fun’ by highlighting the key aspects of the 2023-24 financial year, how that will affect the current one and what it could mean for the January transfer window.
