Although there are still six games left of the season, it truly feels like it has come to an end already. Sure, the upcoming derby at least adds a bit of excitement, but Milan have fallen short on all fronts and will end the campaign without a trophy. As such, the management can now fully focus on the summer, from the managerial role to potential signings and sales.
One of the key aspects this summer will be the outgoing mercato. It’s true that Milan are in a great place financially speaking but sales are still expected, and they would be foolish not to sell some. In addition to the loanees, such as Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers, a few more players could leave. Not necessarily for a lack of quality but rather due to a balance sheet opportunity, also known as a full capital gain.
