Player Ratings 'Big Data' Breakdown [Bonus Article]
As in previous seasons, we published player ratings for every single game of the 2023-24 campaign and amassed some interesting data on the individual performances. While this type of data doesn’t always reflect the season as a whole, it still gives us a pretty good indication of how things panned out. Therefore, we decided to compile the figures and calculate the averages.
Before we dive into the results, it should be noted that all player ratings articles were written by the same author, and always in line with the scoring system we have put together. Something like this will always be subjective, of course, but we have at least taken all the measures possible to remain as consistent as possible.
So, what was the result? Despite playing just half the season, and partly due to that as well, Matteo Gabbia came out on top with an average rating of 6.24. In this article, we will take a look at the average rating of each player, as well as the highest and lowest ratings handed out during the season. We also have a poll at the end so you can vote for your favourite out of the top-rated players.
