The pre-season campaign has officially come to an end for AC Milan and they have now begun the final preparations for the season opener against Bologna. Several players did well during the pre-season and Yacine Adli was one of them, once again showing off his talent during the summer.
A master of pre-season
The case of the Frenchman is certainly a strange one, signed by Milan for a mere €8m fee back in 2021. He remained at Bordeaux on a season-long loan and properly joined the Rossoneri in 2022, with quite high expectations as well. His first pre-season was not disappointing and many expected to see a lot of him during the season.
Instead, it ended up being the exact opposite. The midfielder got just 140 minutes on the pitch in his first season even though he was available for 40 games. Many fans have been wondering why, especially considering his encouraging displays, and that along with Stefano Pioli’s stance is the basis of the Adli paradox.
