Julen Lopetegui has been heavily linked with the AC Milan job in the last few weeks, with some outlets even suggesting that he was one step away prior to the outrage of the Rossoneri fans. However, while this narrative inevitably has caught fire among those who love the club dearly, it’s based on partly unfounded reporting. And this is what makes the whole debacle so frustrating.
After the statement that was published recently, making it clear to the management that winning must be at the core, Curva Sud announced a second part of their protest on Friday morning. They will be present at San Siro for the game against Genoa on Sunday, but there will be no cheering whatsoever. There will not be any banners or flags either, making a strong point.
Regardless of what we think about this, it’s frustrating that it most likely stems from the whole Lopetegui debacle and the alleged uncertainty among the Milan directors in their managerial pursuit. In our opinion, it’s much better to tell the truth about what really went on behind the scenes, which is something that most outlets haven’t done. So let’s take a look.
