The summer transfer window is fast approaching and AC Milan’s management has already begun planning for what could be an exciting mercato. Aside from the ‘flashy’ signings that might be made for the first team, though, another important aspect is what the Rossoneri will do with the youngsters. More specifically, the youngsters at the crossroads.

As a result of the many injuries this season, we have seen a few of the Primavera players feature for the first team. This was undoubtedly a positive consequence of the injury crisis, as the growth of these players has been accelerated. And with that comes an opportunity to make money, though Milan seemingly will adopt a more cautious approach for some of these players.

The situation is far from certain ahead of the summer, so let’s go through the six youngsters (plus some honourable mentions) who currently find themselves in limbo.
