Three takeaways from Milan's stadium presentation [Bonus article]
As was expected, AC Milan have now officially presented their stadium project to the council of San Donato and thus also to the public. Just as the Rossoneri fans shouldn’t get too carried away because of this, there are a few positives to take from the matter as well, not to mention the new details that have been unveiled.
Milan published a press release on their website Wednesday afternoon, having officially sent the project to the San Donato council, and the reactions have been very positive from the fans so far. That’s certainly easy to understand, given that the Rossoneri’s project involves building what can only be described as a red and black village.
Not only will there be an official store and a museum on site, but Milan are also expected to build their new headquarters there. It remains to be seen what will happen to Casa Milan, but it certainly makes sense to have the HQ and the other facilities close to the stadium (just as Casa Milan is close to San Siro).
The exciting details aside, what should the fans make of the official press release? It has become clear that Gerry Cardinale won’t stop at this stage, like Silvio Berlusconi did in 2015 with his Casa Milan stadium, but the fans must also realise that this is only the beginning.
